Entry To Practice for Medical Laboratory Technologists in New Brunswick

To protect the public, the practice of Medical Laboratory Technology is regulated in the province of New Brunswick. Any person who practices as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) must meet standards set out by the New Brunswick Society of
Medical Laboratory Technologists.

An MLT is trained at an accredited technical school or university; the candidate must successfully complete didactic and clinical training to be eligible to write the national certification examinations. The NBSMLT recognizes the CSMLS Certification examinations as the minimum standard for entry to practice as an MLT.
