NBSMLT Approved Bylaw Amendments

Member approved Bylaw Amendments On Saturday, May 25th, NBSMLT members attending the AGM voted in favour of the following amendments to the NBSMLT Bylaws: The term "Canadian Medical Association (CMA)" will be replaced with "an approved accreditation body." The amount of practice hours required for registration renewal be changed from "900 hours of active practice during the 5 calendar years preceding the application" to "750 hours of active practice during the three calendar years preceding the application. The Composition of the Board: The Board shall consist of 8 persons as follows: A. the president, president-elect and the past president; B. four (4) Directors from across New Brunswick; C. Governor in council to represent the public and that Each Director shall reside or work within the province of New Brunswick. The title of Secretary and Treasurer will be replaced with Executive Director. Academies will be removed from the NBSMLT Bylaws.
