The Institute of Quality Management in Healthcare (IQMH) is a provider of world class medical laboratory proficiency testing and accreditation programs since 1974. A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ontario Medical Association (OMA), IQMH is a not-for-profit organization with the vision to be the Standard for Confidence, within the international medical diagnostic testing community, through our three Centres of Excellence: Accreditation, Proficiency Testing, and Education. Our mission is to elevate the integrity of the medical diagnostic testing system by providing rigorous, objective, third-party evaluation according to international standards.

Our clients are composed of national and international players in the medical diagnostic testing sector. Accountable to the Executive Director, Programs, the Staff Technologist, Centre for Accreditation, is responsible for coordinating accreditation assessments, reviewing corrective actions, monitoring conformance to accreditation requirements and organizing assessor training. Reviews accreditation requirements and the processes/procedures for assessment and provides feedback to personnel in client facilities. Actively promotes Centre for Accreditation values and practices quality management within assigned responsibilities. Fluency in both English and French is required. Education: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and registered with the applicable professional regulatory body, e.g., College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO). Advanced Registered Technologist qualifications or a three-year baccalaureate degree in a related science or equivalent education preferred. Experience: 7 years practical experience in medical laboratory technology, demonstrating managerial skills and computer knowledge.
