Fair Registration Practices in Regulated Professions Act
The amendments by the New Brunswick provincial government to the Fair Registration Practices in Regulated Professions Act are now in force. These amendments are intended to strengthen the existing regulatory framework while supporting greater clarity, consistency, and accountability across licensure processes for foreign educated applicants and labour mobility applicants.
The NBSMLT must adhere to:
- The timelines expected of you for both foreign educated and labour mobility applicants, as outlined in the Act
- The new deemed registration process for labour mobility applicants.
- Reporting requirements as will be established by the provincial government.
