The NBSMLT would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the Medical Laboratory Technologists and laboratory professionals for all that you do each and every single day of the year. You provide a vital service to the people of New Brunswick and play an integral role in our Health Care System. We know that patient protection and care is at the very heart of the services you provide.
Medical laboratory professionals work around the clock to provide accurate and timely results critical in making medical decisions. According to the CSMLS, there are approximately 1.2 million laboratory tests performed every day in Canada. Each one is done by qualified and skilled medical laboratory professionals.
Now more than ever, we applaud your dedication and unrelenting effort, your commitment to patient care, and adherence to strict safety protocols. Many of you have shared your knowledge and skills to assist in informing and educating the public in supporting efforts to “flatten the curve.” Thank You.
At a time when much of the population is being asked to stay home and isolate, you are reporting to work and providing the essential services required to inform the decision-makers on the front lines of the current pandemic.
